Jeric Medina, former “X Factor Philippines” Finalist, is a singer-songwriter working his way through the industry with grit and creativity, showing he’s got what it takes to make it to the top. He brings his own twist on the usual R&B and his sound is as strong as his passion for his art. “Working on my song in the studio. It’s where I belong.”, as he mentioned in an interview that
appeared in The Manila Times. Jeric has recently released another exceptional single entitled “Ngiti”.
So far, Jeric has done good for himself. He came out on top alongside Thyro & Yumi when they won the Philpop 2015 Competition. Jeric’s also released a pair of singles as an indie artist before signing with Viva Records. Quite recently, his two recent compositions, “Baka Sakali” and “Dahilan” made its way to Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo’s “This 15 Me” album released just this year.
To be sure, his latest single “Ngiti” is all Jeric. Smooth sounding OPM with just the right amount of R&B, that has inherent swagger and style. This track was co-produced by renowned producer Teddy Katigbak.
Though Medina has been at some point compared to OPM legend Martin Nievera for his vocal skills, Jeric isn’t letting it get to his head. In fact, he’s working even harder to earn praises just like this one and more. One way to get there is by working and putting all his strength in his craft, to make songs and bring them to life.
