For their latest release, 2019 breakthrough music group and Awit Award-winner for Best Performance by a Group Recording Artist, This Band proves that they are the de facto ‘hugot’ music spokespersons of their generation. Partly because of the group’s propensity to tackle such themes as heard on previous hits “Kahit Ayaw Mo Na,” “Di Na Babalik” and their most recent in “Di Sapat Pero Tapat.”

Writing about it is one thing, but making it stick is where it really counts. And This Band knows how to deal with that kind of relationship troubles and worries their listeners go through and encapsulate it in their music in such a succinct way as they do so again on new single “Rebound.”

As the title suggests, “Rebound” is about a stop-gap relation destined to end in heartbreak. But then even the most sensible lose their composure especially when it comes to matters of the heart. But “Rebound” is not your mushy, cry-fest ballad that wants to capitalize on a listener’s misery. The track is in fact a go-get-em, keyboard-heavy, pop-rocker that one would want to rock to as one exorcises those wretched experiences.
