Last Saturday, July 24 the boys performed at SM Rosales in the far province of Pangasinan. XLR8 will really come to you to bring joy and entertainment no matter how far! Hosted by 93.9 iFM’s radio DJ Macho Palito, the mall tour in Pangasinan was a success.
Before the boys performed Macho Palito started off with a question and answer contest for the audience. Those who would be the first to answer correctly up on stage was given a free XLR8 poster. Some of the questions were very easy which would really give the audience a chance to grab limited posters of the XLR8. Example questions were “Sinong member ng XLR8 and kapatid ni Aga Mulach?” or “Magkano ang CD album ng XLR8?”.
After the Q&A contest the boys were announced and as they came out from backstage the crowd roared with delight seeing them all so cute and wonderful. They performed to their song “You’re so Hot”. The fans have gone wild all through out the performance were screams of joy from the audience. After their dance, the boy introduced themselves, each one of them with matching pick-up lines that hyped up the fans.
Their next performance was a song in their album “For you” written by Vehnee Saturno- the man behind the hits. This time, their song was a lot more subtle unlike XLR8’s other hits which are hip and would really make you want to dance.
After their performance the boys just stayed up stage and started interacting with the audience. It was hilarious how they started saying their own punch lines and pick up lines. A few samples- Aki started it with a knock knock joke saying:
Aki: Knock knock
Audience: Who’s there?
Aki: Inday
Audience: Inday who?
Aki: Indaaaaaaaayiyaaaay will always love youuuuu hoooo…
Carlo: Alam mo bang exam ako??
Audience: Bakit?
Carlo: Kaya sagutin mo na ako!
After the joking portion, the boy performed “Tonight’s the night” then directly to their next song “Dance with me”. The next part of the show was the You’re so Hot dance contest. The boys came down the stage and chose 1 girl to dance with them on stage to the tune of “You’re so Hot”. The chosen girls got a chance to be with the boys on stage and to dance with them and do a showdown. This portion was one of the best part of the show, seeing the girls and the boys of XLR8 get on their groove with a touch of comedy was downright entertaining. (I myself wasn’t to try dancing J ) You’ll see clips of their performances with the girls on the uploaded video for this mall show. The girls were given free posters, then all of a sudden the host Macho Palito was also challenged to dance and pick a girl from the crowd too.
The ending of the mall show was the autograph signing portion. This is when fans who bought a CD and those who got posters were given a chance to have them signed by the XLR8 and they were even given the chance to take picture and get a kiss in the cheeks of one or all of their favorite XLR8 members.
