Sarah Asher Tua Geronimo, simply known as Sarah G, was born on July 25,1988 in Santa Cruz, Manila. She started a career in music at the age of 15 after being crowned as the grand champion of "Star For a Night". She won one million pesos and a managerial contract underViva Entertainment. Viva Records produced her very first album in 2003 called “Popstar: A Dream Come True”, which won two Awit Awards after gaining a huge commercial success since its release.
Sarah G also tried acting after winning "Star For a Night". Her debut as an actress was a supporting role in the film “Filipinas” alongside fellow Viva artist Anne Curtis. As an actress, Sarah G is best known for her role as Laida Magtalas in the romantic trilogy "A Very Special Love", "You Changed My Life" and "It Takes a Man and a Woman".
Over the course of Sarah G’s entertainment career, she has already released a total of 12 studio albums, has won 182 awards [as of 2015] and has performed to international audience worldwide.
Sarah G was known to be the Philippines’ Popstar Princess due to her musical prowess, but she has proven that she is more than just that. Her contributions to music, film and television have made her an important part of the country’s pop culture. Her versatility as a performer has given justice to her whole new title- the country’s Popstar Royalty.
