Mudjur Clemente, or famously known as Mudjur or Jur is a 14-year old street vendor in Manila. He usually sells bread to passers by and students at the streets of Mendiola.
This young genius started selling snacks for a living back in 2007. Before he started reciting the laws and constitution as a marketing strategy, he usually dances to gain buyers. However, one day, a law student advised him to recite the Philippine law instead. After that, he was able to memorize and recite the Preamble to potential buyers.
People were impressed with his intelligence and wit. Law students constantly give him assignments and give him prizes. Now, not only he can recite the Preamble, he also knows other laws and provisions and can recite them verbatim.
According to his previous interviews on TV, he is a school drop-out. He started focusing in selling to help his parents and siblings. Fortunately, he has received a scholarship and is currently at Grade 7 at Jose Abad Santos.
Mudjur’s story has inspired a lot of lives as they can see how determined he is to achieve his dream f becoming a lawyer despite all the challenges that he has to face.
Even though he receives a lot of help from people who learned about his life story, still you will see him selling the usual bread and other snacks, during his free time.
