Viva Films' upcoming offering for 2017 is a relatable one and will surely teach everyone, especially millenials about a thing or two about dating sites.
"Swipe" is directed by Ed Lejano, and is about apartment neighbors whose lives get intertwined after developing connections through a social dating application.
The main cast include Mercedes Cabral, Maria Isabel Lopez, Gabby Eigenmann, Luis Alandy, Alex Medina and Meg Imperial.
Mercedes plays Loida, the new lady guard in Sunrise Apartments who was hired by Leo played by Luis Alandy. The two characters get acquainted through a dating site and had a supposed-to-be hidden affair.
Loida however is married to an OFW that will soon be coming home. She tries to keep her relationship with Leo at a professional level for her husband but, how could she avoid her involvement with her boss if he threatens to leak their recorded video online?
Maria Isabel Lopez' character meanwhile, is Gloria. She is in her mid-40s whose marriage just got annulled. Through a dating site, she meets Ted, played by Alvin Anson, an investment consultant. Have she found her forever in him?
Gabby Eigenmann, on the other hand will portray Frank. He is a married man who conceals his true sexuality. He checks out gay dating sites. Then, the guys he will meet will then get invited to his apartment unit.
Soon, he meets Josh who is financially needy. Frank's love for Josh will soon grow, but how will he take it if he finds out that Josh is only taking advantage of him?
Finally, there's Janet, portrayed by Meg Imperial. She is a recovering drug addict who's married to Edward, played by Alex Medina.
Edward moves in with Janet in her apartment to start anew. But then she will soon experience a relapse and gets their troubled marriage even more miserable when jealousy comes in between.
This film is the new sexy romance drama that will open our eyes to the setbacks and gains in using social dating sites.
